Intelligent Information Management on the Office 365 Platform

March 25, 2019 @ 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
AIIM Conference 2019 @ Manchester Grand Hyatt Hotel

Managing information today typically means you’ll be managing multiple platforms. Even if you’ve standardized on Office 365, you’ve still got multiple tools within the platform that need content management. Exchange and SharePoint make up the core, but what do you do about Planner (project planning) content? What does Yammer mean for discoverability? Can you search your Sway presentations?

In this preconference workshop, we’ll teach you how to apply Intelligent Information Management (IIM) to your entire Office 365 Platform. Learn what the different tools in the suite do, how they’re used, how they fit together, and how to manage content effectively across all of them.

Learn the O365 best practices, including:
– What each of the Office 365 tools are used for – and what they’re not used for
– Where the overlap and connectivity is between the Office 365 tools
– How to manage content across the various tools

Hi Robert – We met at past AIIM events, and I’m signed up for the workshop. Took a look at the slides handout and didn’t see much on Microsoft’s new focus on Teams and flat architecture. I’ll be asking questions about that, like how/whether/when to try to apply a metadata approach to Teams channels’ files, how to relate the documents in a Teams SP team site to document management in other SP team sites, how to guide users on what to put where (OneDrive, Teams channel(folder) or SP team site), or whether any of this governance can be automated to reduce redundancy in file storage. Or maybe we’re just supposed to learn to live with the chaos.
